CEO Tea Talk: Managing the “New Normal” of Tomorrow

richard-carrNew Normal is the latest “buzz-word” that has been much talked about as organizations transition from the global financial crisis. The business landscape has changed where tomorrow’s environment will be different. It heralds the reshaping of a new economic order. The encouraging news is that the New Normal also offers new opportunities.

For some organizations, near-term survival or changing to new businesses is the order of the day. Others are thinking about how to position themselves once the crisis has passed and things return to normal. With much uncertainty that lies ahead, it will not look like the normal of recent years. It is the era of the New Normal where, for organizations to succeed, they must focus on what has changed and what remains.

On 2 November 2009, a CEO Tea talk was held at the The Saujana, Kuala Lumpur. The speaker, Richard Carr, Executive Vice President and Senior Advisor of Vistage International, Inc, shared his insights on what the “New Normal of Tomorrow” is all about and how organizations can capitalize on the opportunities to bring their businesses to a new level.
